SRV-02 / Radiological Expertise & Protocols

Medical expertise for your imaging endpoints.

The study design stays with you – we supply the radiological expertise behind it: from medical review to the development of the measurement methodology.

The problem with vague measurement methods

Many study protocols define radiological parameters imprecisely: the exact location of a measurement is missing, as is the choice of slice or the approach to artefacts. The result is inconsistent findings between readers, excluded patients and queries in the middle of recruitment. A specialist's eye before the study starts finds these gaps before they cost data.

What we provide

  • Medical review: radiological review of study protocols, imaging charters and endpoint definitions for precision, measurability and reader suitability.
  • Measurement methodology: development of precise, reproducible measurement instructions for your protocols and charters – the document remains yours, the methodology comes from us.
  • Feasibility & costing: realistic time estimates per assessment and per parameter, as a basis for budgets, proposals or tenders.
  • Reader instructions & training: working instructions and training for reader teams – yours or ours.
  • Expert opinions & medical quality review: specialist statements, expert reports and quality assurance for assessments already under way.
  • Sponsor communication: precisely worded queries and change proposals to the sponsor or the authors of the protocol.

Available on its own

The expertise can be booked in its own right – you do not have to commission the reads from us. In practice a medical review is often the starting point of a collaboration, because it makes visible where a project needs specialist support.

A review costs days. Unclear methodology costs months.

Have your imaging endpoints reviewed by specialists before the project starts.
